:: SPORTS ACTIVITIES ::

Since its inception, the school aims at winning laurels in Sports and Games. The boys Kho-Kho team has been continuously representing Silchar Region at KVS National Sports Meet every year since 2002. House wise Intra School Sports Competitions are also held every year to boost up the interest of the students in Sports and Games. Moreover, the Vidyalaya celebrates its Sports Day in a grand manner, every year. Some of the best talents of the students in Sports and Games can be witnessed on this day.

:: SCOUTS AND GUIDES ::

Well trained units of Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls are functioning in a regular basis under the training of well trained Scout Masters. It is worth mentioning here, that the school has registered 32 Nos of Cubs and Bulbuls each and 57 Nos of scouts and 07 guides each. Moreover, five of our scouts participated in Tritiya Sopan testing camp held at KV ONGC Nazira under Silchar Region .Baden Powell’s birthday is celebrated as “Thinking Day”, every year in the month of February by the Scouts and Guides units of the School.

:: ADVENTURE AND EXCURSION ACTIVITIES ::

The adventurous activities are arranged in the school every year in order to provide unusual and exciting experience to the children. This helps the students to develop courage, team spirit and physical fitness in them. The school organizes parasailing activities for students every year. Besides, students are also taken to trekking expeditions frequently.

:: PROMOTION OF VOCATIONAL SKILL::

In order to develop vocational skills among pupils, Art and Crafts classes are conducted at regular basis. Experts in Arts and Crafts are appointed to inculcate the skills of painting, drawing, embroidery, making decorative pieces etc. Such classes develop the creative ability in students and help them brighten their future. The school imparts yoga education to imbibe values of discipline, concentration, determination and physical well being in the students. Yoga exercises are practiced at school daily during the morning assembly under the supervision of trained teachers. The hidden talents of the students in the field of Fine Arts and Music are also brought out and groomed by qualified and trained Music teachers. The school provides a platform for the students to stage their talents in the field of Music by conducting various co-curricular activities from time to time.

:: MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD ::

Every year several students are selected in participate in the Mathematics Olympiad. Such examinations are conducted to arouse interest in Mathematics, to inculcate Mathematical temper, reasoning ability and to spot mathematical talents among students. Students are motivated and guided by the teachers to take part in such programmes.

:: SCIENCE AND SOCIAL SCIENCE EXHIBITIONS ::

Science exhibitions are conducted every year which provides ample opportunity to the pupils, to exhibit their innovative talents in the field of Science and Technology. This year also, our School participated at the regional level Science Exhibition, where it exhibited models on various topics, such as Generation of Electricity by a speed breaker on road, Use of Computer Knowledge in Education [Genetic], Pythagoras Theorem using sand, water purification, Silk Industry etc. Likewise, Social Science Exhibition is also conducted every year. Wherein students’ innovative hidden talents are brought out through various models. A few models were also selected for Regional Level Social Science Exhibition this year. The models selected were Petronas Tower, Rural life of Haryana and Penang Bridge. Social Science Exhibition thus makes the students aware of culture and heritage of various countries and states. In a nutshell, such exhibition provides the students ample practical knowledge in various subjects.

Four Students, viz., Master Dinesh Basumatary, Master Babul Das, Master Arup Das of XI Science and Master Bhima Mura of XII Humanities, of our Vidyalaya have qualified to represent the Silchar Region in Volley Ball and Khokho during the KVS National Sports and Games Meet.
