Classes IX and XI will undergo common examinations on CBSE board pattern. The classes of X and XII will write their Half Yearly examination and common preboard examinations in the months of November, December and January.
MINIMUM ATTENDANCE
A pupil may not be allowed to sit in the annual examination if he / she does not put in minimum of 75 percent of the attendance of the academic session including attendance registered in a previous school, if the student has been admitted on transfer.
ASSESSMENT RULES
The final assessment of the pupil for promotion shall be decided on the basis of the annual record of the pupil for maximum marks in each subject which distributes as follows:
| a. |
Project / Practical 10% |
| b. |
Class-work and assignment 10% |
| c. |
Unit test 20% |
| d. |
Cumulative test (half yearly) 20% |
| e. |
Annual Examination 40% |
If a student misses a unit test, no credit shall be allowed. However, re-test on Medical ground is given but the child concerned will not be given any rank. In case of absence, no test will be taken at any stage later.
PRIMARY CLASSES
| 1. |
There is no detention in class I and II. |
| 2. |
A child is subjected to be detained in the same class if he/she gets E grade in three (03) subjects or more in class III onwards. |
In case the parent does not consent, the student will be promoted to the next class. The Principal can detain the concerned child if he/she again gets E grade in 03 subjects or more in next class.
If a child gets E-grade (earlier C grade) in any two subjects in class V will be given an opportunity to improve upon the subjects and if he/she gets D-grade even in one subject will be promoted to class VI. The above provision would not bring any change in the system of promotion from class V to class VI.
FOR CLASS VI TO IX AND XI
1. Each student would need to pass the continuous and comprehensive evaluation as well as the Annual Examination separately with at least 1/3 marks. Thus each child should secure not less than 20 marks out of 60 in each subject in the continuous and comprehensive assessment from class VI onwards and 13 marks out of 40 in Annual Examination, and total of 33 in each subject for being promoted to next class.
